WRAPPED IN A BEDSHEET

I just love how northern Vivienne Westwood is. It always shocks me a little when I hear famous people speak, like Kate Moss for example, I dont why I didnt expect that South London twang. And she sounds so young! Dame Viv on the other hand is pure genieus. The way she asked Pamela Anderson to advertise her collection earlier this year combines high fashion with trailer trash. I remember Pamela was quoted in the Sunday Times as sayin "Yesterday I was porn, today I am art."

Her Spring/Summer 09 RTW collection had the usual Westwood vibe, slogan tees, headscarves (worn as knickers I might add) but the pieces that stood out to the front seated fashion crowd were the dresses that could have been rustled up from a bedsheet. The theme was sustainability, that the outfit you choose could have a story behind it, could be swamped in history.

WHICH TWIN STYLES IT BEST?

If I had to pick one of the Olsen twins it would have to be Ashley. Mary Kate just seems a little bit too much out of it for my liking, somewhat like a little girl who found the keys to her grans dressing up wardrobe.

Ashley is the epitome of style, sass and a hint of structure. Ive recently just bought her book Influence and will be uploading images soon. I love how she manages to carry off a tuxedo without a hint of boyish charm or how she always manages to look pristine with a slight touch of boho in her mussed up 'do.
