BEIGE AND NEON?

I dont know who this woman is but I spotted her on both The Satorialist and shots from Tommy Ton for style.com from the recent Milan fashion week. I think her mix of neon teamed with a simple beige caught the style hungry's eye. I'm not completely sure I like this look but I certainly think she makes it work. I do love her envelope clutch (must get one of these soon!) and the delicate ankle socks with the t-bar shoes.

IN THE NUDE

I just wanted to post a quick picture of the gorgeous Sienna Miller looking lovely in a nude and black ensemble on a recent night out with beau Jude. When I first saw nude worn with black tights I wasn't overly keen. I'm referring to Rachel Bilson teaming nude strappy shoes with matt black tights. But this look is one of my favourite of the week, especially with the distinct lack of style from the front row of fashion week. What do you think of Sienna's look?

I LOVE, I WANT, I NEED...

The Dsquared2 collection which showcased in Milan today was a mix of masculine tailoring and sun kissed limbs encased in seventies inspired dresses and shorts. I love a good designer collection just as much as the rest of you, but I also like a collection which I can actually see myself wearing (and affording). The white dress pictured below is perfect for me, seen as I have little volume in the chest area and a hell of a lot of volume in the bum area! I love the sunnies and hat that have been styled with this look, it screams New York on a hazy summers day. These are my three favourite looks from the collection with official countdown to Paris starting now.

ONE EVA, TWO STUNNING DRESSES

I'm a huge fan of Eva Mendes and I think she gets it right pretty much all the time. I realised I rarely put Eva in the blog although I salivate every time I spot her gorgeous honey toned skin in a magazine. So I've put together my two favourite looks that Eva has sported recently. I'm always so jealous of Eva's locks, which are perfectly coloured and seem to just fall into place. Why can't I be that smouldering!? The first dress, this fabulous floral Zac Posen creation, was worn for the promotional tour of 'The Other Guys' and I think this suits Eva's day personality down to a tee. However, Eva's night time personality is a hot, smouldering Latino who knows how to seduce the fashion pack. This floor length velvet gown by Andrew Gn hugs Eva's curves, working well against the pale pink lips and loose styled hair.

The new Gucci s/s 2011 is made for Eva...I've picked my favourite looks from the catwalk. Let me know what you think, can you predict any collections that Eva may be sporting in the next couple of months?

MAXIMISING THIS SEASON

I love this outfit spotted on Amy, one of the Topshop girls over the NEWGEN show through LFW. The black pleated maxi looks fab with a logo tee and a sequin jacket casually thrown over. The leopard print envelope clutch screams fashionista whilst the black peep toe boots make a statement that says something along the lines of 'I may look thrown together but this outfit took 7 long hours to emerge from the approval of my wardrobe.'

MATTHEW WILLIAMSON

I've always been a huge fan of Matthew Williamson, even more so now after I sat only a few inches away from him at a recent awards ceremony, and his new collection didnt fail to impress. Although I became a fan of Williamson because of his boho, Ibizan inspired pieces, I'm glad to say he has moved in a new direction with the s/s11 collection. His floor length dresses are reministent of a past MW collection, keeping an indian inspired colour palette and loose, body skimming silks. I can see Sienna, Cat Deeley and Olivia Palermo in these pieces within the next couple of months.

Lets take a look at some of Matthew's past collections which ignited my love for his opulent yet completely wearable collections...

WHAT YOU WORE TO LFW

I plan to write a piece on the LOOK magazine high street catwalk show with brands showing such as French Connection, Next and River Island, all perfectly styled by the girls over at the mag (I'm slightly biased seen as I worked there for a while and they were all lovely!). However, whilst I'm waiting for the pictures to be released I wanted to show you what you, the joe public, wore to the event held at the Saachi Gallery in London. I love the autumn/winter style thats seeping through now to a fresh season and looking at pictures like this gives me the perfect inspiration for a new seasonal wardrobe update. I can't tell you how glad I am to see black tights again!

P.S This is going to be a pretty long post simply because of all the gorgeous outfits that were on show there! I'm sure you don't mind....

OLIVIA ROCKS FASHION WEEK

Olivia Palermo, styled with a fabulous new shorter 'do, has so far rocked fashion week both here in London and over the waters in the US. From Julian McDonald to Topshop Unique, the model/IT girl has turned up to every event looking nothing less than perfectly polished. Olivia has a way of clashing patterns and accessories that just, well, works. The red dress she wore for the Marchesa runway show was gorgeous as was the outfit she sported for the front row of Tibi, a designer she was wearing before it hit the big time. Loving the grey suede ankle boots she sporting throughout FW, its nice to see celebrities don't just wear things once and then throw it to the reject pile.

Which is your favourite Olivia outfit from Fashion Week so far?

TOPSHOP UNIQUE

What a fabulous location for a catwalk show Topshop chose to showcase its new Unique collection for s/s 2011...the disused Eurostar station in London. The inspiration behind the new collection, which can be viewed below, is ethereal, mythical creatures with a hint of fairy dust scattered over everything. The hair was big and the lips were dark, giving reference the seventies era, which is set to be huge next season.

The thing I like about Topshop showcasing at LFW is the fact that I can actually afford the pieces that are featured on the runway, unlike Oscar De La Renta and Burberry. In these cases the only time I get to wear these hand crafted designs is when I'm dreaming fashion. I've picked my favourite pieces from the collection.

As you can see the colour palette is a mix of aubergine, mustard contrasting against the stark white and midnight blue sequins.

What do you think about the new collection from Topshop Unique? Could you see yourself in any of the pieces below? I think for me it has the be the sequin top and skirt for a special occasion such as a Tuesday, it reminds me of the gorgeous creation Kate Moss wore for her 30th birthday with the theme of 'The Beautiful and the Dammed.'

DOUBLE DENIM FUN FOR LIV

I've always been a huge fan of Liv's style, probably because she's not stick thin! I know Liv is sometimes styled by Rachel Zoe, as is shown in the clip here but I think she also has a natural flair for style. No matter how gorgeous I think she is, I was more than shocked when the actress was signed up to become the face for G Star last season. Liv is neither a tomboy, grungy or particuarlly 'urban'. She married someone from Leeds for goodness sake! But as Liv works the red carpet of the G Star Raw show last night I can totally see why the brand wanted her face and body. How great does she look in this double denim ensemble? Cute braces and a cut off waistcoat....denim perfection.

Here are a couple of shots of the G Star campaign for those that didn't get chance to see it....

BEST COLLECTION SO FAR

Although other fashionista's will claim that Marc Jacobs or Vera Wang was the best collection at NYFW, for me Jenny Packham has designed a collection that has glamour written all over it. In a colour palette of tan, gun metal grey and duck egg blue, Packham has created a collection of chiffon dresses, floor length statement gowns and sequin encrusted jumpsuit and summer shorts. Low slashed V-neck dresses would look fabulous with glowing sun kissed skin with the waist been easily highlighted by gold and grey thing belts. Expect the Oscars, Emmy's, BAFTA's and SAG Awards to be full of JP. Blake Lively has already been spotted in a Jenny Packham gown so it would be exciting to see her in one of these creations, maybe the studded pewter mini pictured above?

I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SAY IT BUT...

I think I'm a Tommy Hilfiger girl. I've never taken notice of the brand really apart from watching Ali Hilfiger on MTV in those great geek glasses of hers. I haven't in the past been a fan of polo shirts and chinos. But this collection made me wish for a little TH in my wardrobe. I heart the cut out panel detailing at the side and the bow to make this look like it has been pulled in the create the panel to show some flesh. I love the elegant but stylish mix of crisp white and navy blue, a standard TH colour. Even the boys looked good in an influx of candy colours, trousers rolled to ankle length to show off some fabulous boating shoes. I would really like to see someone like Vanessa Hudgens in something from this collection, I think she could definitely carry off the preppy style of Tommy Hilfiger.

THE NUDE AND THE RESTLESS

Victoria Beckham can call herself a fully fledged designer after showing her s/s2011 collection in New York over the weekend. Funnily enough Victoria's presentations are always the one I am dying to see and keep pressing refresh on style.com until the pictures emerge. The designer has out shone herself this time with a collection of timeless, elegant yet ultra stylish dresses in a colour palette of nudes, whites, canary yellows and purple. Of course, there was the standard black dress thrown in but in a design that makes it look anything less that just a LBD (in this case long back dress).

I would wear every single one of the nude dresses in VB collection. I especially love short v-neck dress with the grey waist panel. I can imagine Eva Mendes with her colouring look fab in these or even somebody pale like Florence and the Machine in the simple mid-length sleeve shift.

But it wasn't all nudes with Victoria throwing in a splash of colour and metallic. I'm a little unsure about the fabric which looks like taffeta. A little on the cheap side, although it may just not photograph well. I heart the canary yellow and should be teamed with a red lip. I predict Victoria to wear the long wrap dress to an event soon. I can't wait for Victoria's next collection, hurry up February!

What do you think of Victoria's latest collection? Which is your favourite dress of the collection?

POP INTO A NEW SEASON OF NEXT

Although I heart all things designer we all know I'm a high street girl at heart and with my new season shopping fresh on my mind I thought it was about time I put together my wish list. I'm hoping to channel Burberry this autumn with the ever so stylish shearling jacket, Marc Jacbos with a maxi dress and Dolce and Gabbana with some chunky knits. Of course a little brocade wouldn't go a miss with inspiration from the late, great Alexander McQueen. I've put together my own little pop up store for Next, which has some fabulous catwalk worthy pieces this season. How gorgeous is the brown leather jacket, fur gillet and floral maxi dress? Oh, if I'm going to get a maxi dress I might as well team it with a new shearling jacket and military boots. I'm going to have to seriously cut back on my morning caramel latte and yogurt covered raisins if I'm going to be able to enter the new season as stylishly as I hope.

To buy any of my favourite pieces just enter the pop-up store and with one click you can shop to your heart's content.

PARTY:CHANEL BOUTIQUE OPENING LOCATION: SOHO

Alexa Chung

Chanel opened its Soho based boutique last night and the party attracted quite the gathering. Of course guests were dressed head to toe in the gorgeous creations of Chanel. Mr Lagerfeld himself was there to mingle with party goers such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung. Here are my favourite outfits of the night, all pretty much the standard Chanel trademark colour palette of monochrome. Loving the brogues on Liv and the pussy-bow shirt. Alexa's dress looks familiar, did Blake Lively sports this at some time but in a blue design?
