PETER SOM S/S 12

If block colours and floral prints are your thing then look no further than Peter Som 2012. Comprising thigh split maxi skirts and floral cigarette pants teamed with simple tee's, this is one of my favourite catwalk collections of s/s 12. Rachel McAdams wore the blue floral skirt/tea combo below recently and it was one of the best choices I think she's made for a premier. I adore the orange skater style dress above, although I think I'd team it with a pink belt instead of blue and would probably have to put a bra on!

What do you think of this collection? Which is your favourite s/s 12 collection?

BLONDE AMBITION

My perfect cut and colour...what do you think?

Seen as this year so far has been all about change, I decided it was time to get rid of this dull mousey brown/slightly ginger mop and go blonde for the summer. I current sport a decidedly dull mid-length style which hasn't really changed since high school. I've been blonde in the past and to be honest looking back at photographs while I was at uni, you can see I had little disposable income to splash on it! So now I'm looking to have at least 3 inches cut off - trust me it needs it - and going back blonde, this time more classy than brassy. The cut above is my perfect style but I need a little help in terms of the shade of blonde I want to go. The train journey this morning was spent looking for a little blonde inspiration and here's what I found.

Let me know who your hair inspiration is?

TWO APRIL LOVELIES

Victoria Beckham covers the British April issue of Harpers Bazaar which I absolutely adore. Vic is giving the Prada swimsuit another cover outing and I love the floral background. Another April cover I've fallen in love with is Georgia Jagger's cover for ELLE Brazil. From the Bo.Bô dress to the purple lips this is my favourite Jagger cover - much better than her recent Russian Bazaar cover which was far too 'flower power' for my liking.

Which is your favourite cover out of these two, Victoria's or Georgia?

DINING IN STYLE

As I get older one of the things I want to perfect is my dinner party skills. I love playing the host and having friends over for dinner but the one thing I need to work on is setting the perfect table. You know you're reaching the big 3-0 when the words 'Dinner Party' creep into your vocab.

The environment of a dinner party is just as important as the actual food, if not more so, and one thing that finishes off any table setting is fresh flowers. Or gorgeous candles. Anyway, take a look at some table setting inspiration from my new favourite website http://www.stylizimo.com/ which is a bit like pinterest but for interiors. Gorgeous.

CAMILLE ROWE POURCHERESSE

Twice this morning I've spotted Camille Rowe Pourcheresse in two editorials so I thought it would be worth a nice afternoon blog post. The native French model has been used as the face and the body of the new Free People campaign and I have to admit I hadn't heard of Rowe up until now. The writer in me made me conduct a little research and found out that one she has a pierced nipple (which she isn't adverse to getting out in most shoots - see above and below) and two she was once a Chloe perfume girl. A gorgeous one at that. She's my Tuesday crush so here's a few Rowe moments which I heart.

A NEW DESTINATION BAR...

With the task of moving and generally getting my life in order I haven't had time to tell you all about the gorgeous new bar that opened in Leeds city centre last week. 1871 Bar is adjacent to the Marriot Hotel and is definitely the sort of place the city needs.

Having lived in Leeds for my whole life, and gone out in the city for over 10 years now, its safe to say certain areas have become, well...stale. So when a place like this comes along, its worth getting excited about. As well as being at the 'cooler' end of town - if you're from Leeds then its pretty much drilled in to you that 'the bottom end of town' is the cooler option - its exposed brickwork and quirky collectors pieces including toy robots and art deco radios, made it feel like I was sitting in a down-town New York bar.

On the opening night me and Lauren of @artyfartycooking (make sure you check out her blog Artyfarty Cookin which is a gorgeous collective of art meets food) sampled mini burgers, mini yorkshire puddings and mini ceasar salad as well A LOT of yummy cocktails. The bar staff were more than happy to answer my request for 'something fruity' and the atmosphere was laidback rather than pretentious.

If you're in the north make sure you check out 1871 Bar and let me know what you think.

THIS TIME TOMORROW...

My lovely friend and fellow blogger Tabara of Ma Cup of T (which you need to check out btw as its a gorgeous collective of T's life in both London and Paris - swoon) recently said that one of the things she liked most about I Heart Fashion are the new blogs I discover. Although they may already be firmly on the bloggin map for many of you, I always try to feature blogs which I've never heard of hoping that if I haven't then some of you won't have either.

A recent find was This Time Tomorrow by the achingly cool Krystal who works as the fashion editor at Google, currently living in San Fransisco. Her daily outfit posts are always effortless and make me covet whatever she's wearing. I actually came across this style blog on an interiors website Apartment Therapy where Krystal's uber hip apartment was photographed for a design special.

Here are a few of my favourite looks from This Time Tomorrow and make sure you favourite her blog by clicking here. She's definitely my new hair inspiration after having a whopping 12 inches cut off - make sure to let me know what you think.

BEST DRESSED OF THE WEEK

Olivia Palermo in Tibi
There were a couple of gorgeous looks this week, coming from some unlikely sources. Malin Akerman for example looked stunning in a red Halston Heritage dress while Jennifer Lawrence pulled out my favourite 'Hunger Games' premiere outfit in New York, sporting an a-line forest green Calvin Klein dress. Ashley Madekwe (who I mentioned in an earlier post about her style blog Ring my Bell) meanwhile rocked up to the Lacoste Womens Spring Summer 2012 collection event in a Lacoste mini and bright yellow nails. My favourite look of the whole week has to be, as you would have probably guessed, Olivia P in a white Tibi maxi. I adore the Olivia and Tibi love affair and she's definitely put the designer on the map.

VOUGE LAUNCHES DUTCH EDITION

Vogue has made its move into the Netherlands with its first dutch edition, joining 18 other international editions across the globe. The debut cover features three Dutch models - Ymre Stiekema, Josefien Rodermans and Romee Strijd wearing some gorgeous spring-appropriate catwalk looks including a Louis Vuitton s/s12 blue lace dress. Although I love this cover with the use of three models instead of one, I think it looks a little 90's. What do you guys think?

THREE FLOOR

Photographed by Takahito Sasaki

I discovered this brand in an old issue of Grazia last night and wanted to share it first thing. Three Floor was launched in November last year and is a seductive collection of what appear to be high-end catwalk pieces but are actually extremley accessible. I'm absolutely obsessed with a good look book as you probably know and Three Floor have created not only some gorgeous designs but some mouth-watering photography. I'm contemplating buying this Field Trip fur parka (which includes a zip off waist to create two coats in one) just so I have it for next winter. These are my key pieces below - hello how Carrie Bradshaw is the white maxi coat and does anyone else see Angelina Jolie in this model?

Sweet Talk Mini £65, Reign Maxi Coat £88, Rattle Contrast Print Shirt £45

Sway Midi Dress £92, Field Trip Parka £129, Role Model Maxi Chiffon Trench £75
