A LITTLE TAYLOR TOMASI HILL LOOK ALIKE...

Hedvig from London caught my eye on Lookbook.nu this morning simply because of her perfectly put together outfit choices. I'm currently looking for inspiration for my show season wardrobe and so far it isn't going so well. I have a reception with Prince Charles to dress for then three days of menswear shows. The I go to Florence where I'll visit menswear show Pitti Uomo, then over to Berlin for Bread and Butter.

All three require very different looks, mostly due to the weather but partly due to the nature of each show. Bread and Butter, for those that haven't had the chance to go - which by the way I would highly recommend - is a huge airport filled with streetwear, denim and young fashion brands. Its laid back, cool and very, very warm.

Pitti meanwhile is classic Italian tailoring for the men and I'm thinking 50's style sundresses, feline sunglasses and pretty little pumps, finished off with a gorgeous handbag. Then we get to the London Collections: Men showcase. I'll have a driver, I know check me out, so heels are a must but then I've got very little inspiration for any other part of my wardrobe. Who knows what the British weathers going to turn out like so planning outerwear is key.

Anyway, before I go off rambling about the unpredictable English rain, have a look at Hedvig and let me know what you think of her style...she's a little Taylor Tomasi Hill don't you think?

GLAMOUR AWARDS 2012

The Glamour Women of the Year Awards took place at London's Berkeley Square and with it came a host of gorgeous women including Jessica Alba, who won Entrepreneur of the Year, Fearn Cotton, who took home the Radio DJ of the Year award and Jessie J who scooped Solo Artist of the Year. Glamour was at full throttle, with the likes of Katherine Jenkins in Mary Katrantzou and Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham making the red carpet one to watch. Here are my favourite looks from the night...

Myleen Klass, Katherine Jenkins and Kelly Brook

Lily Collins, Fearne Cotton and Alesha Dixson

VOGUE AUSTRALIA CREATES A 'WHO'S THAT?!' MOMENT

I would never have guessed that Vogue Australia had chosen the one and only Delta Goodrem for the cover of its July issue had there not been the huge yellow headline. It doesn't look anything like the actress/singer/judge-on-Australian-version-of-The-Voice does normally (especially with the super blue, super enhanced eyes) but kudos to the magazine, another fantastic cover. The simple fonts, the simple colourways, the simple pose - it all makes for a very striking Vogue cover.

FLASHBACK: DOUTZEN KROES FOR MARIE CLAIRE APRIL 2010

I've developed a little girl crush on model Doutzen Kroes recently, which has only gone on to get worse since I came across this Marie Claire Russia editorial from April 2010. How can one human being be so perfect? Having given birth to little boy Phyllon Joy GorrĂ© last year, the model was back in immaculate Victoria's Secret shape within weeks. She's rocked the carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this past week in a green sequin Elie Saab (obviously knowing that this was one of my favourite looks from the Fall 2012 collection) and was one of my favourite looks from the amfAR Gala last week in her white sequin Versace number. I never thought I'd say this but I think Doutzen's over taken Natasha Poly in my 'number one model' position. Who's your model of the moment?

PRINTED SHORTS, THE OLIVIA PALERMO WAY

Olivia Palermo was spotted out and about in New York twice last week in printed shorts, affirming once more why she's my style queen. Rocking her tortoise shell feline sunglasses, floaty bohemian style blouse, ballet flats and a bobble woven beach bag with both looks, printed shorts have to be an Olivia ss12 wardrobe staple. In the real world either wear with a simple top, letting the shorts do the talking or pair with a contrasting print (above left) to create a statement. Are you sporting a pair of printed shorts this summer? Here's a pick of my favourite on the high street if you are...

Scarf Print Shorts £30 Topshop UK $60 Topshop US

Printed Silk Shorts £40 Warehouse UK $71.43 Warehouse US
Poppy Print Frill Side Shorts £35 Topshop UK $70 Topshop US

Lile Elephant Printed Shorts £67.55 Nordstorm UK $178 Nordstorm US
Swirl Print Skort £10 Miss Selfridge UK $18 Miss Selfridge US
White Ice Cream Print Denim Shorts £25 River Island UK $43.49 River Island US

EVA MENDES COVERS MARIE CLAIRE BODY ISSUE

Marie Claire newstand issue

If there's one celebrity who causes me to get all hot and flustered it's Latino goddess Eva Mendes. Starring on the cover of Marie Claire's body issue, Eva looks as sultry as ever in a maroon bejewelled Prada swimsuit. This Prada number is getting as much editorial coverage as the infamous Miu Miu dress which starred on over five covers, including Eva's W magazine cover. I'll definitely be buying this issue, and for once glad that I'll be getting the news stand version instead of the subscription cover. Although the black and white image is still beautifully shot I prefer the colours, styling and pose of the cover above. I'm looking forward to seeing what the actress has to say about Ryan Gosling although after reading outtakes from the interview in this morning's Metro, it seems she says very little. Still, with this being the body issue, the Marie Claire girls might give me a little insight into how I can achieve a body like Eva's. Here's hoping! Check out the full editorial here.

AMFAR'S CINEMA AGAINST AIDS GALA BEST DRESSED

Doutzen Kroes and Diane Kruger

Last night the stylish and the sartorial hit the red carpet in aid of the amfAR'S Cinema Against Aids Gala and didn't they look fabulous. My favourite looks of the night came from models Natasha Poly, Doutzen Kroes and Karolina Kurkova who finally wore my favourite Roberto Cavalli look from the fall 2012 collection - although Diane Kruger continued her trail of perfection in Cannes in a resort 2013 Chanel dress. A few looks didn't make it to the blog including Sky Ferreira in a leather ensemble and Kate Upton who looked like a fabric cake/ Which was your favourite look of the night?

Nina Dobrev and Karolina Kurkova

Natasha Poly and Milla Jovovich

Kim Kardashian and Lily Donaldson

Jessie J and Liu Wen

Georgina Chapman and Petra Nemcova

Cara Delevingne and Carine Roitfeld

PYJAMA PARTY

Pink Trousers with Zip and Pocket £25.99 ZARA
Pyjama Jacket with Tile Print £35 ASOS

With the days now getting more reminiscent of what summer should be like, I've found myself looking at my knit-heavy wardrobe with a heavy heart and wondering what the hell to put on. Not only do I dislike my arms immensely - hence why I'm getting my arse to the gym this evening with 12 weeks exactly to go to my holiday - but the fact that I never get my legs out means shopping for the warm weather is difficult.

Which is why I've decided my next purchase needs to be some lightweight silk pyjama bottoms. Cool enough to wear in the summer and stylish enough to cover my legs, pj's bottoms such as these from Zara look great when teamed with a little vest and blazer, as modelled by the lovely Natalie (bottom right), the ever-so-stylish fashion writer in my office. Don't be thinking I've only just picked up on this trend either, it's just been too cold dam cold to consider silk trousers up until now.

CATCHING UP WITH LOUISE ROE

I was lacking a little blogging inspiration this morning on the train to work, that was until I started reading Louise Roe's Twitter feed. How can this girl be so gorgeous and what seems to be so genuinely nice! Anyway it's been a while since we caught up with what Louise has been wearing so I picked my favourite style moments from her Twit pics to share with you. Notice how many high street pieces she owns - the Stylist Pick shoes, the wearhouse blazer, the Dune pointed slingbacks? That right there is why I love her as much as I do. Louise is the same kind of effortless perfection that Olivia Palermo is, mixing high street with designer with a little vintage thrown in. Every look here can be emulated on a normal girls income and with the help of Louise's collaboration with shoe website Stylist Pick, you can actually own the same pair. Are you a fan of this stylist wardrobe?

NEW IN THIS WEEK...

Although I love pastels, I'm craving a slight break from them and although I've not deterred from them completely (take the ombre lemon and pink shorts for example), I'm loving the injection of fluro and print on the highstreet this week. The sun has officially arrived in Leeds and I'm slowly wishing I'd started using the arm weights a lot sooner than I did - I can't remember the last time I spotted bingo wing in Vogue. This is a great week for new drops, especially if the weather keeps up we'll finally get to buy some summer clothes! Plus it gives me a great reason to go get some gorgeous tortoise shell cat eye sunglasses from TK Maxx I've spotted this payday. Take a look at my pick of what's new this week and let me know what you think.

BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS 2012

Taylor Swift

Last the stars who weren't out in the South of France made it over to the Billboard Music Awards where Chris Brown won R'n'B star of the year (as well as biggest douche in the history of R'n'B) and Taylor Swift was presented with Woman of the Year. Out of all the stars to walk to red carpet, Swift was easily the best dressed - especially when put next to the likes of 80's business woman Miley Cyrus and Julianne Hough who looked to be wearing a sequined bath towel. Check out some of the culprits below.

Natasha Bedingfield and Zooey Dechanel

Miley Cyrus and Julianne Hough

Jordin Sparks and Katy Perry

WOW...

...is about all I can manage.

AND MY DAY JUST GOT A WHOLE BETTER...

Yes! We have our first spotting of Diane and Josh at Cannes Film Festival. My first point is obviously how cool these two look, but secondly, does anyone know where Diane's huge breasts have come from?! Jealous, me? Diane, as always looks effortless in a midi Calvin Klein dress while boyfriend Joshua Jackson rocks the old Lanvin sneakers again. I'm obsessed with Diane alone but throw in Josh and I'm in melt down.

THE STYLE STANDARD

Davide Coat by Margit Brandt £288, Ivona Jacket by Selected Femme £110, Amy Shirt by Charli £95

Over the next couple of months I'll be travelling to various places with work for the SS13 trade shows, including London Collections: Men, Pitti in Florence, Bread and Butter in Berlin and Copenhagen Fashion Week. With the amount of stress packing for each of these trips causes it makes me wish each season I'd been organised enough to buy and pack a capsule wardrobe.

With this in mind, I was recently recommended to check out new website The Style Standard. From denim to trench coats to white shirts, this site has all the basics a woman should have in her wardrobe. Of course, all the style books in the world drum it into us that a classic Breton tee, a great pair of jeans and simple ballet pumps are stapels but how many of us actually have these things ready and waiting for that morning when nothing fits or looks good enough to take out in day light?

If, like me, you're looking to do the grown up thing and pack a capsule wardrobe this summer make sure you check out the website, with brands including Selected Femme, Margit Brandt and Charli, and let me know what you thought.

CANNES FILM FESTIVAL DAY TWO

Sadly no Diane Kruger yesterday so my second day of Cannes Film Festival was set to look a little lack luster. That was until Fan Bingbing stepped out in this breathtaking Elie Saab Couture dress. How unbelievable does she look? The only two that could anywhere close to this yesterday was Eva Longoria again in a simple but chic white Emilio Pucci dress and Freida Pinto in a neon yellow Atelier Versace number. Bar these three, there wasn't any 'wow moments' on the red carpet, even Mellissa George and Marion Cotillard looked boring in black and navy choices.

THE BEST OF CANNES DAY ONE

Cannes Film Festival kicked off yesterday with the likely suspects on the catwalk - Diane Kruger, Eva Longoria and Eva Herzigova I'm talking about you. Not that I mind though, these girls bring the glamour every time. There were quite a few numbers which I wanted to include in this post, include outfit changes from a couple of stars so bare with me as I ramble on.

First we have Diane Kruger who made two stunning, but very different outfit choices. The actress chose a maroon Versus number for when she posed for photo opportunities while a breath-taking Giambattista Valli dress was her first red carpet number of the event. This is a look we haven't really seen on Diane for a while and after the mediocre Prada look from the Met Gala the other week, she seems to be back on form.

Other award-worth looks came from the likes Freida Pinto, Eva Longoria, Jessica Chastain rocking another McQueen number and actress Hofit Golan in a dress which I can't locate the designer of right now.

Eva Longoria in Marchesa and Freida Pinto in Michael Angel

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen and Hofit Golan in vintage dress

Bérénice Béjo in Louis Vuitton and Fan Bingbing in Christopher Bu

Tilda Swinton in Haider Ackermann and Lana Del Rey in Alberta Ferretti

Which is your favourite look from day one of Cannes Film Festival?

THE KOOPLES COMES TO LEEDS

Walking past the Victoria Quarter shopping arcade in Leeds this other week I was so happy to see the opening of a certain Kooples store that I got my phone out to take a photo. I had every intention of uploading it to Twitter but seen as my Crackberry doesn't want to play game recently I never got around to it. Anyway, having remember this morning that the store was due to open any day now I wanted to share with you my favourite pieces from the Kooples lookbook. Having only pop into the Kings Road store when I'm in London with work, I'm too excited to explain about the new northern opening. Are you a fan of The Kooples? I can't imagine how you wouldn't be with the gorgeousness of these clothes.

IF I HAD A BUM LIKE GISELE...

...I'd also be posing like this for French Vogue. The Brazilian shows us why she's one of the worlds highest paid supermodels in this latest cover for the July issue. I really like this cover and its perfect for July although I doubt here in England we'll have any chance of seeing sky's that blue! What do you think of Gisele's latest Vogue cover?

ONE HIGH, ONE LOW

Last night was the premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman staring Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart. Live streamed over at Red Carpet Fashion Awards I was able to see first hand what the stars rolled up on the grass carpet wearing. It was a case of two very similar looks, executed in very different ways. I predicted that Charlize would wear a Christian Dior number from the collection and in this sheer halterneck gown I think she looks absolutely sensational. We haven't seen Charlize with smokey eyes for quite a while so this look makes quite a change. Strappy sandals and emerald jewels finish the outfit off perfectly.

Charlize Theron wearing Christian Dior Couture 2012 and Kristen Stewart wearing Marchesa Fall 2012

I just wish the same could be said for Kristen Stewart. Wearing an autumn/winter 2012 Marchesa nude and black lace number, the actress looked uncomfortable. This style, with a short tutu-like ruffle underneath a lace train, did nothing for her boyish figure - especially with sleeves that looked far too long. I know already for the blog coverage that a lot of you like this look but for me it just doesn't sit. Are you seriously telling me that Kristen, according to Glamour, is the best dressed woman in the world??!! Take a look to the left and tell me that again.

VERO MODA HIGH SUMMER

Yesterday the girls over at Vero Moda were working especially hard for a Sunday, sending me over the new high summer campaign images which feature the achingly hip Alexa Chung. I'm a big fan of Vero Moda, partly because when I worked in womenswear the girls over at parent company Bestseller were incredibly helpful and would always go that extra mile when it came to call-ins and images, but also because the clothes are both inexpensive and wearable.

As you can see from my picks from the new collection, all available to buy below, the variety between weekend wear such as the sheer lemon shirt and polka dot jumper and work wear, including the sheer shirt dress and tailored shorts is vast and varied. Make sure you check out the new collection available at ASOS, House of Fraser and the Vero Moda website and let me know what you think of the new campaign featuring Alexa. Do you think she's a good brand ambassador?
